    They orchestrated his downfall when the winds of fate started blowing through the state and they began to feel the weight of their popularity slipping through their fingers.

    Despite their influence and authority, they are still very much aware that they could not control the destiny of this loyal deputy. For God had blessed him with a spirit that soared above any earthly constraints. Even in the face of adversity, he remained steadfast, his faith unwavering in the knowledge that all things were possible with the Almighty by his side.

    The 7-man Investigate Panel assigned to handle the issue of the intention of the Edo State House of Assembly(EDHA) to impeach the State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has adjourned its sitting to tomorrow, Friday, April 5th by 12noon.

    The panel reconvened in the Judges Conference room on Thursday 4th, 2024 after the initial adjustment on Wednesday 3rd, 2024.
    The absence of the Deputy Governor and his legal team had set tongues wagging and speculation rife in the corridors of power. What could be the Deputy Governor’s next move? They asked themselves in bewilderment.

    The Panel took the step of adjourning its sitting to the next day, Friday, April 5th by 12 noon, due to the absence of the Deputy Governor and his legal counsels in the panel sitting room.

    Professor Oladoyin Awoyale (SAN), counsel to the Deputy Governor, had chosen to stay out of the panel’s activities, citing a directive from an Abuja Federal High Court asking all parties in the case before it to come show cause. Awoyale’s position was that the panel should heed the court’s call and halt further proceedings.
